Summary of Unit 3.1
There are 3 main types of communication, these are: Printed, Electronic and Voice.
Before the time of computers, the only communication types used where printed and voice, examples of these would be flyers, broachers, leaflets, newspapers. Examples of voice are telephone calls and face to face.
Maybe only 5 years ago it became popular to use electronic communication.
Electronic communication can mean anything like; websites, blogs, texting and emails.
Electronic communication has become so popular that it now is used more in some companies than printed, for example, a company may use phones to text or email each other and may have an online system used for sharing files between the whole company.
However important electronic communication is to companies, they are still looking for good employers with good voice communication skills, as you cannot work well in a team without good voice communication skills because you need to communicate with other team members.
